I joined Intera and the private equity industry in the summer of 2010. Before that, I had studied finance at the Helsinki School of Economics, learned about mechanical engineering industry at Wärtsilä, and been involved in the creation of growth strategies at the management consultancy McKinsey & Company.
During my time at Intera, I have been driving growth of four Nordic companies. Common element in all these growth stories is a creation of a new, efficient challenger for established corporations in a relatively mature market. During Intera’s ownership, Delete was grown into a leading Nordic environmental services provider through 15 acquisitions. Both steel construction specialist Normek and used cars retailer Kamux have internationalized rapidly during Intera’s ownership, and after several years of 40% organic growth, Kamux is now one of the leading used cars retailers in Europe. Kreate, born in 2014 from merger of three mid-sized companies, is quickly becoming one of the leading infrastructure contractors in Finland.
